CAP Council of Bartholomew County is a chartered council of Prevent Child Abuse Indiana and is an affiliate of Prevent Child Abuse America. Family Service has been the Council's host since 1988. While most well known for putting on community activities and planting pinwheels around the community during April which which is Child Abuse Prevention month, the council works year round to promote child safety and to let ALL children know that they are important and deserve to have a carefree childhood.
Vision: To serve as a catalyst for the prevention of child abuse and neglect by promoting a community culture that values children. Maintaining that education and early intervention with families is key to breaking the abusive cycle, the Council is committed to preventing abuse/neglect before it happens.
